Autumn Jade:
Autumn Jade was raised in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. A dog advocate with a little bit of working gal thrown in to the mix. Having had dogs for as far back as she can remember, when she's not busy spoiling her 5 dogs, she tries to help homeless pets find their forever homes. Her focus is on dogs but she loves all animals. Her vision for the future is a world where all animals, domestic and non domestic are treated differently than what she sees in todays world. All living creatures deserve to be treated with protection, kindness and respect.
Melody Ann:
Melody Ann has lived in Kentucky her whole life and has witnessed the abuse some animals have to endure. She has always had a special place in her heart for all animals and is a proud dog owner. She has volunteered for animal shelters for several years and is a member of the ASPCA. She donates time and money whenever possible and hopes to continue to help animals in any way she can. As someone once mentioned "everyone has a spot in their heart reserved for someone, but Melody has several spots in her heart for every animal out there".

Dollie French:
Dollie has grown up all over the U.S. But calls Eastern Ky her one true home. When she isn't producing the news and chasing after kids, she spends her time voluteering with local animal shelters. She loves all animals, especially dogs.

Tiger Lily:
Tiger Lily was raised amid the rolling hills and bluegrass of Central Kentucky. From a family of animal lovers, she has always been an advocate for animal rights and protection. Her mother and brother were volunteers for Rescue shelters in Kentucky and Tennessee, and she has personally worked in foster care, rescue, and rehabilitation for the past 8 years. A proud vegetarian and environmental warrior, Tiger Lily has also been working as a veterinary assistant since 2006.
Bettina Lee:
Bettina Lee has spent her entire life in the mountains of South Eastern Kentucky. She is a resident of Letcher Co and is a proud ASPCA member. Bettina has been a dog rescuer and foster parent for over 15 years and works to promote the importance of spaying/neutering in her community. She works diligently with the Upper River Animal Shelter in Hazard, Ky and she mainly focuses on small dog rescue (although the occasional large breed is pulled). Bettina, her mother, and her friend Kim are the founding members of Recycled Friends Rescue of SE KY (check them out on petfinder.com). This group, which is based in Prospect, KY pulls dogs from the high kill shelter, has them vetted, fosters them, and places the dogs in wonderful lifetime homes. Bettina Lee has 5 pets of her own: 2 rescue Yorkies, 2 rescue English Bulldogs, and a neurotic rescue poodle, along with many needy foster dogs.
Cookie T:
Cookie T. has been roaming, vagabond, out cruising the East coast for months on end sharing music and good times. You can catch her snapping a picture of her feet at most destinations. Always good to have proof you were there says Cookie T. I came across Niles and Lucky on one of my ventures Two awesome canines. Seeing as how they're owner is a retired stewardess from the 60's, they are skilled at being exceedingly hip. Check out Niles Lucky and Cookie t in the 2011 Calender of Dames for Dogs.

Heather Capri:
Resides in Whitesburg, Kentucky, but you will rarely ever find her there! She loves to travel and is in the air more than on the ground. She is an honored and spirited member of the ASPCA. Her focus over the last few years has been on helping abused/mistreated cats find loving homes but helps with the rescue of dogs as well. Heather works with her friend Bettina to get the word out in her hometown about the importance of spaying/neutering your pets. She uses the salon where she works as a Cosmetologist to help spread awareness and find loving homes! She has 7 rescue cats of her own and her dream is to one day open a spa for cats and dogs! “People call me the Crazy cat lady, I wear that title with pride, if we don‘t help these animals….who will?”
Cassie Veronica :
Ever since Cassie Veronica was a little girl she loved and rescued animals. Even as a kid she was helping to find homes for stray animals and was able to keep a few of them herself after much begging and pleading to her parents. As an adult Cassie Veronica volunteered with rescue groups and shelters to save over 40 dogs and cats, always amazed at the different personalities of animals both her career as a Veterinary Technician and with her own brood at home which consist of 7 resuced dogs, Rastiss, Jake, Duncan, Titus, Betsy, Emma, and Rolo and 2 resuced kitties Ben and Bear. Cassie Veronica will never forget the first dog that her and her husband and daughter picked out at the Clark County Animal Shelter many years ago and that was their precious Cassie. It was because of her that Cassie Veronica started volunteering to help save animals. They eventually lost Cassie to cancer 9 years later but memories of her will always be instilled in Cassie Veronicas heart. Cassie Veronica " Unfortunately, there are so many unwanted and neglected animals in this world but it is through organizations such as this one that we can each take a little part of ourselves to help make a difference".
Annabelle Rose:
Annabelle Rose has lived in Eastern Ky a total of six years and has seen first hand the problems animals face in Eastern Ky. Foster animals have been a part of her life for seveal years with 30 plus dogs and some cats all finding wonderful perment families. Ok maybe a few stayed with Annabelle and her husband as they now have 10 dogs of their own and one foster (while his family visits Fiji ).Having animals in her life as long as she can remember Annabelle Rose has always wanted to help the ones in need, although she cannot help them all she will try!
